Meet the artists nominated by Photo Romania Festival in 2022

We are happy to announce the group of artists to join Futures this year. The five artists were nominated by Photo Romania Festival through their Portfolio Review programme. They are Martyna Benedyka, Sakis Dazanis, Andreea Harabagiu, Patricia Morosan and Spiros Zervoudakis.

They will join the platform’s activities to present their work to international professionals and to network, amongst other opportunities that will be developed for them, including exhibitions, publishing opportunities, portfolio reviews, and more.

Spiros Zervoudakis

Spiros Zervoudakis was born in Athens. He studied Mathematics in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki , continued with Post Graduate studies (Msc) in Applied Mathematics in Technical University of Crete and Philosophy of Mathematics in National University of Athens.

Patricia Morosan

Patricia Morosan studied photography at the Ostkreuzschule in Berlin. In her visual poetic work, she negotiates the duality of intimacy and identity.

Sakis Dazanis

Born, raised and live in Kozani, Greece. Studied IT and Computer Engineer at Patras University and he is married with three children. A self-taught photographer whose work deals with documentary and fine-art photography. Street photography is present and obvious in many aspects as well.

Andreea Harabagiu

Andreea Harabagiu was born in Bacău, Romania, where she presently lives. Having studied graphics at The University of Arts and Design in Cluj-Napoca, she currently works as a graphic designer. Passionate about documentary photography, she is on a path to pursue this career.

Martyna Benedyka, born in 1991, is a Polish visual artist, vocalist and teacher working in a wide range of media including painting, film and digital photography, collage, installation, and sound art.
